#🚨REALLY WEIRD FPS ISSUE! PLEASE HELP!

First off specs are 360hz oled 1440p monitor, 4080 super, 9800x3d, 32gb ddr5 ram and 2tb ssd. I made this pc in december 2024 and no issues till this.

So recently (few months maybe) i have been feeling my fps be a bit weird. it says i have over 700 fps in game but it doesnt feel like it at all. The games that i play are valorant and minecraft rn and it is happening in both. over 360 but it doesnt feel like it. When i have vsync on it feels a bit better but idk it feels like its not as smooth as it used to be at 360hz something feels off and idk what it is. it just feels a big jaggery or jittery idk how to describe it. i have really good eyesight and vision and i didnt notice this till recently. I have no idea whats going on my 1% lows are normal and everything, its obviously not ghosting and im not getting anywhere on figuring it out untill.....

yesterday i made a weird discovery that i think will help me figure out what is going on i tried turning on g sync so that my monitors refresh rate syncs to the GPUs FPS and while looking at my monitors refresh rate i notice it was fluctuating like from 240 to 360 which may be the issue... is sum wrong with my gpu or what is going on??

ive been really upset about this its been like a month or two now and im not the smartest when it comes to tech so any help would be so very much appreciated!!!!!

This might sound real dumb, but have u ever checked your mouse's polling rate?

my friend had a similar issue to yours and realised it was his mouse's polling rate set at 125

Go into windows>display>advanced and set your monitor to 360 or 359.whatever hertz

Its most likely your refresh rate not set at 360hz
