Hello,
my CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 7600X
my RAM: Patriot Viper Venom DDR5 32GB (2 x 16GB) 6000MT/s UDIMM
my motherboard: GIGABYTE B650 Eagle AX Motherboard - AMD Ryzen 9000 Series, 12+2+2 Phase VRM, up to 7600 MHz DDR5 (OC)

my CPU's Max Memory Speed is "DDR5-5200". My RAM is at 4800 by default, out of the box.

I have two questions:

  1. Does this mean that I can 100% safely enable XMP and bump it from 4800 to 5200 and be stable without issues?
  2. Can I/should I try to go beyond 5200?

Thanks.

Zen4 (like the CPU you have) can very much do beyond 5200mt/s

#

you can very easily do 6000mt/s

5200MT/s max without overclocking — 1 dimm per channel
3600MT/s max without overclocking — 2dpc

thank you for your responses, this is what the default XMP 1 profile is. So far the system is working well 🙂

I did not input any numbers, all I did was change XMP profile from "Disabled" to "XMP 1" and it set everything itself
