I have acknowledged that SLI / NVLink is “dead” for gaming, but I’ve never tried it before, and I want to. (Or dual GPU at least). For rendering, NVLink will be used, for combined memory pool, and for gaming I will be using Lossless Scaling.

I’m pretty sure that the RTX 3090 is similar to the RTX 5070 (in terms of raw power), so even one 3090 would be good.

Other Specs
Ryzen 7 5800x3D
128GB DDR4 3600mHz
Corsair 5000D Airflow
1200W PSU

a dual 3090 with SLI would be

bad

to say the least

#

most games dont even optimise for SLI so that means one will work and the other will just generate heat

True
But i think theyre usung it for rendering things
Im not sure on am4 boards that support dual x8 though
The anove supoorts sli but thats not necessary to do dual x8

There is most likely cheaper boards, but not sure they will be as high quality as others. Ill look soon

Potentially, would like to spend less than £150, could go for just dual GPU No NVLink.
