So I just got a new mobo with a pc upgrade and because I have a i7 14700k and the mobo is on a bios from 2023 I want to update it for obvious reasons the mobo is a gigabyte z790 aorus pro X and whenever I go to update it says "bios ID check error" I've tried 2 different versions and formatted the ssd multiple times I am using a 16gb USB with a fat32 format

Which bios version did you try to install?

You’ve downloaded the wrong bios for your board
You need to check your revision number and choose the correct one. It should be on the bottom left of your motherboard with Gigabyte. When I load up the site, it prompts me to select the correct one to download a bios

Yeah I figured it out eventually I downloaded the rev 1.0 thats my board off the gigabyte website and it didn't work so then I downloaded one from them that was no rev number
And it worked
