Find your desired size and resolution, search up how the different panel types look (People tend to go for OLED panel types because of the darker blacks), I would recommend choosing a refresh rate that your pc can hit, so if your pc cant hit 400fps, no need to buy a 400hz monitor, any other features are extra that the average person won't care about
