so most likely the pump isn’t running

So, either the pump isnt actually working, or you need to jump that sucker up to 100% and leave it there. I'd change the fan curve, and set the pump to 80-100% your choice. Chances are its on auto, which could be why

Solution: get an air cooler

#

(Yes, I know it’s a generalization)

This is why I swear by air coolers and will only ever use them unless im builidng a pc for someone else and they argue with me about it. But you dont run into this issue with air coolers, and they perform just as well.

Back in the day, air coolers couldnt keep up with aio's. Unforuantely, that missinformation continues. Factually they perform just as well, the only issue now, you need to do a little more research on air coolers for the right cpu.

#

But when you match the right air cooler with the right cpu, it does just as good.

#

but people are lazy and dont measure, or just dont look into things at all

Part of the problem is that people immediately think of water cooling as better, regardless. Comes from historic building and marketing misinformation. For me an AIO is about looks, never used one. Feel like next time I shall.

That and I think a bit of snobbery
