Hey guys, so I just upgraded my rig with a MSI 870E Tomahawk. I am coming from an ASUS b650. Anyways I got everything installed and hooked back up and initially got a good boot first try. But after installing some drives and updating some software: icue, Logitech, ext. I am now not able to get the system to boot unless I clear the CMOSS. I thought it was a bios issue so I downloaded the latest bios and got into the bios screen. When I go to press the M-Flash I get put into an “endless boot”. The boot light is green and code 00 stays up on board. No display.
My specs are
9800 x3d
ASUS 5080 prime
G skill ddr5 6000 ram
990 pro with my OS and games in slot 2
I have a 9100 in slot 1 that I plan on moving the OS and stuff onto. But unused at the moment.

Been doing my own frantic research and come to a couple of possibilities… faulty motherboard, faulty bios, or cmoss battery dead?

Any help or suggestions are much appreciated!

Also one thing to note is that the flash drive I have the bios update downloaded on (the one that came with the motherboard) gets super hot when I plug it into the Bios USB port.
