I've been dailying Ubuntu on an external usb-c ssd for about 2 years now. Today j went to plug it into my laptop, and I got this error black background:

I pressed every key I could think of. It did nothing. I then boot into my normal laptop windows, plug in the external Linux ssd. Doesn't even showup as an external hard drive.
The ssd enclosure led is lit up though. Is my Linux os gone with all my data? Bad ssd?
