So I have a Dell XPS 15 that is about 1.5 years old that has been left mostly untouched over the summer as its mainly used in uni, brought it out and booted it up to just make sure it still works fine and my idle temps on the 13th gen i9 are very sporadic (50 C- 95 C) with nothing running and just spiking at random, playing "peak" with some friends is almost a guarantee to throttle the cpu at 100C and idk what may be causing it (bad heat sink?)

#

while writing this i also realized that even with the fan physically on max through dell settings (plus i can hear it going crazy) the fan speed did not show up in CAM
