built a new pc reused gpu and ssd... boots up first time with lan detected decided to shut it of and tidy things up closed the case and boom ethernet not connected error i reset the network adaptors already tried som yt tomfoolery nothing worked need help thanks

i also tried downoading drivers from the motherboard website

in a nutshell brand new out the box first boot ethernet works restart it it and doesnt work

Have you double checked the cable at the router, it might have gotten loose.
And can you check if the cable works with another device, a laptop for example

it might be a bios glitch wich happens sometimes with closing a pc

did you touch the lan while it was powered before you closed the pc?

Have a look at the bios again and make sure ethernet / lan is enabled

Rare but possible but it might have reset after closing the pc

The problem is that i am unsure where the problem is atm

Shut down the pc fully (keep pressing the power button till it is closed) and remove the ethernet cable and look if there is any sign of something that should not be there
