Possible Upgrade Path

I am seeking to upgrade my current setup:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5700x
Mobo: ASRock 550M-C
RAM: 32 GB DDR4 2666 ADATA
PSU: 850W Gold ROG

Which should I focus on first? My workflow consists of VR Game development, Hypervisor VM work, Fullstack engineer coding (JavaScript, C++, Python, Rust), and general collaborative software suite usage. My budget is $1K for the accumulative sum of the upgrade path for these four components.

Also, while I'm not seeking to upgrade this part, for the sake of having an accurate recommendation for the PSU, I use an RTX 3080 Ti 12 GB Founder's Edition.

Yes. I had thought on upgrading to an AM5 socket AMD processor. Though would it be worth upgrading to a newer socket or stay with the AM4 and MoBos that use AM4?

You already have a really good AM4 Cpu, so i would suggest upgrading to AM5, although if you dont game, Intel is better than AMD in these workload tasks by a mile

So you have 2 options if your budget is $1000 which is really good

Got it. A lot of my gaming is done anyhow on my MacBook Pro M3 Max via GPTK tools. The performance, from what I've seen, really goes toe to toe with a 4070 mobile.

Ye basically, consider AM5 if you want and the new Ultra Intel CPU's, if i was you i would watch YT videos and comparisons and take a lot of people's opinions on it

But i would tell you rn that from my knowledge, intel is better in these categories
