I got it already done, however. I dont have it connected
(which I would love to get help with)
The case itself is an phanteks XT pro
And the mobo is a eagle ax
There should be several 4 pin fan headers on the bottom, side, or top right labeled something to the effect of “cha_fan_#” that you can plug it into. Any will work. Avoid cpu/cpu_opt
The current spots are taken actually
(the back one, aka the one that came with the case, is using it)
I also noticed it has this connector, am I supposed to connect it to this instead or.?
You have no open fan headers? I highly doubt that
I think I do, but cant I just connect it with the already connected fan?
Also here is the pic of all that this has)
I only have the cpu_opt open
Look on the bottom edge
@vast dust you have at least 1 header here
Wait are daisy chains possible?
Yes
Wouldnt that be better to do?
(however, the case fan has no rgb so idk)
No. Fan headers can only power a certain number of fans and they are all forced to the same speed. So you can daisychain some but intake/exhaust should be separate
Anyway, I have to go now but I’ll check back later
Yikes, so then what do I do?
(these are both- okay take care!)
@vast dust you have at least 1 header here
A 3rd is probably between the cpu and the io cover/vrm heatsink
Here are the 3 locations
I actually got everything to work!
I used daisychain anyways, it works fine and I checked a few sources
Yeah it will work, at least to a point
the main thing is how you want to control them
what do you mean?
