Literally the BEST in the laptop world

#

Lenovo Legion Pro 5 or a Legion 7 ( idk if it fits your budget ) i would suggest, both with 100% sRGB

#

Its a beast

Macbook Pro M4

#

With 16gb ram and 512gb ssd

#

14 inch display 120hz

#

Macbook's have the most accurate colors

#

It has 24hrs battery life cuz it's ARM based so it's actually good

#

10 cores cpu with 10 cores gpu powers it

#

But if your into windows, get a Microsoft surface tablet pro or a dell XPS

#

Both are close competitors

#

The Microsoft tablet has 12 core snapdragon X elite(the best arm cpu in the market for windows) and it's OLED touchscreen so 100% sRGB Color accuracy

#

This also has all day battery and the best part is it runs windows 11

#

It comes in 32gb variant and expandable storage

#

It's actually better than the macbook cuz it's got oled but benchmarks say otherwise

#

The X elite is similar in EVERY task except Single core,it's got same powerful gpu too

#

Look don't get fooled by the looks of "ARM" cpu

#

Arm cpu means it's combined in a single package. Every apple silicon chip is the best, and EVERY single of them are ARM

Bro went all in 💀

#

And let's talk about the dell XPS

#

It's got a core ultra 7

Apple makes some of the best laptops if not the best

frigid fossil
#

No offense tho

#

I mean if I were him would get either the Macbook Pro M4 or Surface Tablet Pro

I like the Surface Tablet more cause of it's OLED display and versatility

frigid fossil
#

In short Surface Tablet Pro if he likes to have touchscreen and oled

#

Macbook if he needs a bit more power but worse display

#

Macbook is mini-LED which is the top quality of LCD

#

But surface uses OLED,self explanatory

graceful valve
#

Well they can but it's not going to be the same as windows

#

I'm looking at £2462.00 for a core ultra 9 275hx, 192gb of ram, no storage and 5 hour battery with 1440p 240hz screen

#

Comes with 5070 ti

very premium

#

great trackpad

#

legion 5 15" gen 10 would be my pick

you give up the good trackpad for 1600p 165hz oled and cheaper ram upgrades

#

one is sdxe (intel version costs too much) and one has shit cooling

yoga pro 9i is the better option for 16" and slim 7i aura or yoga pro 7 for 14/15"

frigid fossil
#

But macbooks are an all-rounder

signal inlet
#

surface has sdxe which is an automatic no

#

asus VC is garbage, dies after a year

#

OP also needs to game so mac is a no

frigid fossil
#

Not too hot but not compromising on power for macs

frigid fossil
#

Its for content creation

#

And macs are at its best here

#

"light esports gaming"

signal inlet
frigid fossil
#

Heck macs can run Baldor gates 3 ,Dota 2,valorant

#

League of legends too

#

So yeah macs can game

signal inlet
#

valorant?

#

no it can't

#

and just because it can run 4-5 games doesn't make it a viable option

frigid fossil
#

But for what he is needing mac is anything but bad

#

brother i said light esports gaming anyways i have decided to keep my current one and just continuing to use sunshine and moonlight

#

but I do want to upgrade to a better laptop mainly better screen for outdoor use and better battery life but that’s for a later date

I recommend the MSI Stealth laptops. I personally use the previous generation of the Stealth 16 which costed around £1500 from Currys with an Ultra 7 and 4070.

It is definitely on the thinner more portable side. The part of the panel above the keyboard can get quite hot but that’s part of the cooling system of the laptop. CPU and GPU temps pretty acceptable. Under load it can be quite loud, especially compared to a PC but quiet compared to other gaming laptops. Build quality I found to be really good with its Al-Mg chassis.

I use it for gaming, watching media, CAD and simulations, all around I can say it can do all of these without issue.
