Pc keeps freezing on windows setup after reset

I just reset my pc, chose to delete all files and to download windows from the device (not cloud). Now when I boot up my pc into the windows setup it keeps freezing. I can still see my mouse move but can’t do anything. I had no freezing problems before, anyone know why this might be happening?

what do you mean by this "download windows from the device (not cloud)" also can you show a screenshot or image of the screen you're stuck on?

When you go to reset the pc it asks you how you want to download windows. From cloud or this pc. The thing I’m getting stuck on is pretty random, it just freezes after a random amount of time but I can never get past logging into microsoft.

Im also trying to download windows from a flash drive now but its getting stuck around 40%

Ah windows reset, my bad, I read that as restart instead of reset. Typically reset of the system is usually best done with clean download of the installation media from Microsoft anyhow.

Yeah thats what im trying to do but for some reason its getting stuck

getting stuck in using the media creation tool when it's downloading windows install or stuck when actually trying to run the reset from the boot media?

if during the media creation tool setup make sure the USB drive is formatted NTFS and isn't in use by anything else (isn't open in any explorer windows or has shell/command prompt open in the drive being written)

Don't use windows built in reset its just awful and doesn't really do anything

Im getting stuck when I have booted my pc from the flash drive. When its installing windows it just freezes, but my mouse is still able to move. So i guess its not completely frozen.

don't use it

Try another flash drive
Try another USB port

If that didn’t work try installing windows on a different drive

You use the usb method to reinstall windows the proper way but you will want to backup the important stuff.

Had to have a pc check by some admins in a game and i didnt really trust what i had to download so i just reset it to be sure

Ok so i managed to get onto my desktop but everything is super slow and my m.2 is running at 100% constantly

Bad drive probably , maybe it’s time to replace it ig
Maybe it’s faling, check with crystal disk info if you want

Idk if crystal disk is automatically installed but i dont think ill be able to get it installed
