Hi yall, my budget is $1000 dollars, also no macbook air as I heard some engineering related software might not run on it; even when using a virtual machine, or run properly that is. Im looking for something that's has good battery life, 7+ hours. Decent screen, hopefully not those 45% ntsc screens, unless those are what im getting for this price range. Btw i would like to play terraria, minecraft, and valorant on it. Reply if yall have any recommendations, and thanks!!!!!

If you already know the classes you'll be taking within a certain track that can help inform your decision. Also, if computer equipment is necessary you might be able to use student loan money for financing your needed equipment. It might be worth talking with guidance counselor or department head first.
Oh okay, thank you for your advice.
Good luck at school!

I got a 2022 Zephyrus G14 for college (also engineering) and I love it. Not sure if any of the 2025 models are around $1000 though. I often see open box 2024 models on Best Buy so maybe consider that?
