Im no expert by any means but I think you might want like cl30 ram instead of cl36
The 8GB variant of 9060xt is okay but the 16GB version will perform much better in most titles. Unless you really know what you are doing and are targeting very specific titles, you may want to upgrade to https://pcpartpicker.com/product/w2WmP6/sapphire-pulse-radeon-rx-9060-xt-16-gb-video-card-11350-03-20g
bought the cpu the cpu cooler and storage already btw so no changing that
it's 2 expensive π
Have you considered looking used
Not for a 9060xt but like
6000 or 7000 series amd cards
aren't used parts like
bad
low quality and probably ruined
not necessarily. you need to be careful about not buying something that says 'parts only' or 'non working'
Definitely not, I bought a GTX 1080ti used for $50 and its almost 10 years old, Im still using it now and bought it less than a year ago
My first PC was entirely used parts and I built it entirely for less than $150
Again less than a year ago
I built that for like $130ish? Entirely used parts
Look at Jawa.gg for a used gpu
wtf it looks so cool
I'm not sure I'd choose a 1080 over a 9060 8GB card but there may be some bargains to be found if you look. In the same price range of 9060 you can get a much more capable used card. I'm seeing a few working 3080ti on ebay for around $180 current bid
Definitely dont get a 1080l lol, I was just using it as an example
also - scrapyard wars for inspiration π
Id say look at used 6000 and 7000 series AMD cards
Specifically ones with more than 12gb vram
12 or more
I can guarantee a cpu cooler is necessary for a cpu π
my mistake
LOL
does jawa ship to EU?
I think he means aftermarket vs OE cooler, but idk if that cpu comes with an OE cooler
@empty wing
9600X does not include in-box cooler
Well then its very necessary lmao
There are some CPUs that do include them, though, so it is something to be mindful of. If stepping down to Ryzen 9600 (no X) there is a cooler in box that is competent. However I'm not sure they are still actually making them? bonkers pricing on all of these if I go looking. Wild. https://www.amd.com/en/products/processors/ecosystem/cpu-cooler-solutions.html Ryzen 7 5700 is actually a really solid deal but it's for AM4 platform and that limits future upgrades. It probably makes more sense to spend more on am5 platform and upgrade GPU later.
