I want discord to utilize my secondary GPU instead of my primary one, and it's just straight up refusing to do so even with windows graphics settings telling it to. I want to be able to share my VR gameplay in discord without needing to lower the resolution and refresh rate so that my main GPU's encoder isn't overloaded. If anyone has any ideas, it would be much appreciated. 😄
#Discord refuses to use the correct GPU

I meant to tag the thread as software but I must have misclicked oh well
I also realize that this isn't shown in the screenshots, but GPU 1 is my primary GPU and GPU 0 is my secondary one. I'm not sure why they are labelled like that since my primary GPU is in the topmost slot of my motherboard
another weird behavior that I have noticed is that if I switch my secondary GPU to be plugged into my main monitor instead of my primary one, it will just use that one instead no matter what I change
I have also tried disabling hardware acceleration in the hopes that I could just use cpu video encoding, but it just uses my secondary GPU anyways
Nvidia hates GPU passthrough. Whenever someone finds a way to do it, Nvidia deliberately removes it from their drivers. So if the monitor with Discord on it is connected to the Nvidia GPU, it's really tricky.
it isn't, though. it's on a screen connected to my RX 580 and still being run on my 3060
