#Compatible SSDs for my laptop?
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Im looking to add additional SSDs if slots are there
OR
Replace my existing SSD with a higher storage
anyone ?
If it’s nvme, any nvme ssd will work
If it’s 2.5”, any 2.5” ssd will work
It probably doesn’t have an extra m.2 slot, but i don’t know for sure
Based on page 23 / 99 of your laptop's maintenance manual, I only see a single M.2 NVMe SSD slot. That said, there's nothing stopping you from using an NVMe drive as your boot drive, then re-purposing the 1TB 2.5" SATA HDD as data storage, or upgrading it to a 2.5" SATA SSD.

Well I have a budget constraint
what is your budget
€100
you could probably snag a 2TB nvme or sata drive depending on how you want your storage
Nvme is preferable
the wd sn580/770 or the teamgroup mp44L are good options
no reason to go higher performance since you're on pcie gen 3 anyway
I bought the sn580
Which is actually gen4 btw
yeah. gen 3 arent really any cheaper
Got mine for € 65.65. cheap asf
Well now i have a new small issue. I just bought a 870 evo to replace my HDD today, butttt:
Mf'ing screws got stripped while opening my laptop cover, wanted to swap my HDD with SATA SSD. But nah f##k the 🪛 f##k everything. This is so frustrating ughhhh 😖😖😖
Well the screws of the laptop back panel
