Yo when I wanna transfer games on steam on 1 Drive to the other, it keeps saying the file is empty, but I know it’s not what do i need to do?

That folder is, in fact, empty. What drive are you trying to transfer FROM into the E drive?

#

Also, use Steam's built-in Library management functionality.

Weird. Perhaps somehow that folder was created with the Hidden or System File attribute? You can tell Windows Explorer to shows these, though I don't recommend leaving this on as it makes it tempting to delete things you shouldn't delete.

Oh wait, Treesize shows a different folder than your first screenshot.
E:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common
E:\SteamLibrary\steamapps

The first picture is what steam pulled up

When I click on browse folder

Yeah so you can likely just close Steam, then manually copy the common folder:

  • FROM E:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps
  • TO E:\SteamLibrary\steamapps
then re-launch Steam. You may still have to tell Steam to "Install" the games, but it should auto-detect them if they're in the right location, only downloading missing files, if necessary.

And then it crashed

Welp. Sounds that that drive might be defective. What is the exact make and model of your E: drive, how long have you had it, and why did you get a new drive in the first place?

Let me go see

Yeah... you know, the one you're having problems with? Kind of important to include as much information about the situation, otherwise we're merely guessing / flying blind. 🙂

And the guy at the repair shop said it had bad firmware and then return it for the warranty. That’s why I’m doing this.

#

I think he told me what firmware was, but I forgot

Kaput, donzeo, borken, non-functional, faulty, etc. Either re-download your games to your new drive, or restore from external backup, assuming you make regular backups.

#

Many 980 Pro drives are known to have faulty firmware, making them unreliable when reading / writing data, or completely dying outright, taking all the data stored on them with them when they die.

Damnnnnnn

It’s covered under the five-year warranty though right

Sorry ... when what download is finished? Once Steam downloads whatever game you're installing, you'll know it's finished because Steam will say it's finished and you can click Play to launch the game.

If you're talking about the E: drive (your defective 980 Pro), it's likely that the drive isn't reading correctly, so of course Steam won't know what's on it. Tell Steam to install things into the Steam Library on your new (C:) drive.

#

No, I’m talking about the 9100

#

Says there in there

Right, let me clarify: if the files did not copy correctly from E: drive to C: drive, then Steam won't know that things are installed. Without having your computer in front of me, I can't really assist much further than telling you to tell Steam to install a game onto the Steam Library on C: drive, then see if you can launch it.
