someone finally told me the problem ,,PC freezing during boot time cant handle interrupts"
unsure if its a software or hardware problem but i've been trying to fix this laptop since over 3 years.
i've put both a video and a picture of where it stops, can't even install it.

#

i do not think a single thing before 2016 even has the chance to support windows 11

#

yea

oblique sentinel
#

it ran win7 perfectly before

grizzled estuary
#

You can try to run windows 11 lite , if you want to run latest window and windows only

oblique sentinel
#

until it decided to never boot again

oblique sentinel
#

cause my cpu is 32 bit.

grizzled estuary
#

i couldn't find 32bit version of windows 11 lite on google. Maybe there will be modified version of windows 11 lite created by someone but i don't know about it

grizzled estuary
#

use linux instead of windows. You will have much better experience

oblique sentinel
#

linux doesnt start either

#

unless i put some stuff in boot options

#

its irqpoll and noapic if you wonder

grizzled estuary
#

my laptop do this sometimes , it enables RAID mode in bios then my windows doesn't boot. Maybe that is the problem

oblique sentinel
#

raid mode?

#

i doubt thats a thing in this bios.

grizzled estuary
#

it is , (i am still learning about linux and computer) according to my current knowledge , raid and ahci is type of storage how operating system decide to store your data

oblique sentinel
#

nope it is not a thing

grizzled estuary
#

in bios press Ctrl+s , it is hidden somtimes by manufacturere. Like in my acer laptop i have to press Ctrl+s in bios then i can change it to AHCI

#

in your laptop the shortcut might be different

oblique sentinel
#

its an MSI

#

unsure.

#

asahi

#

let me give you a link right quick

#

(specs of laptop)

#

unsure if this will help get us the hidden feature

#

grizzled estuary
#

I don't know

oblique sentinel
#

cause it is running a 2007 bios

@grizzled estuary

#

whats PIO mode and DMA?

#

also whats ARMD?

hot sedge
#

PIO is an older data transfer protocol primarily used for IDE storage. DMA is Direct Memory Access (Which on newer Windows is strictly limited to PCIe devices where it used to be allowed for USB)

oblique sentinel
#

oh

hot sedge
#

I haven't heard of ARMD before, but it looks like removable ATAPI (SATA and PATA) drives, but not floppy and CD drives because they had their own protocol.

#

Probably for weird formats that died in a few years

oblique sentinel
#

wait

#

so if it has PIO, it has IDE?
