#Good monitor for RTX 5070?
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Try to aim for a 1440p 240hz , those are quite cheap now
Depends what competitive games and how you play them. Example if you say your main game is CS2 and you play stretched 720p it’s gonna be horrific on 1440p
Mini LED Local Dimming: The KOORUI 27 inch White Gaming Monitor features a Mini-LED VA panel with 384 Local Dimming Zones, which can achieve 550cd/㎡ peak brightness and a higher dynamic range HDR1000 so that the computer screen can restore the deepest blacks and brightest whites. The color is mor...
Yes it's VA, no the ghosting isn't bad and the color accuracy is pretty impressive, also it's mini led
Now if you're competitive competitive, IPS all the way
well i dont like it
- im not gonna buy koorui monitor cause its some cheap chinese brand and it will break after a week
- i wont buy monitor from a foreign country
and i dont care about 1440p i want 1080p
i saw tests at 1440p and i prefer 1080
Well that considered, probably easier to find something good for cheap then
But Koorui is genuinely a brand trying to make a name for itself and it's got some great options let's be clear
bro ima be honest i needed to gain money for my pc for like 2 and a half year not to buy some cheapass chinese monitor rn even if i would do that my dad would be mad cause he thinks the same and i wont deliver monitor from amazon from another country cause it cauases lots of problem
Ah I get what's going on there
ye
One of your best options is an Asus TUF VG27AQM1A
Recognized brand, 260hz 1440p (adjust down to 1080p if you want) IPS panel that generally people like
Downside being it's probably a lot more expensive
but which one is the best? all support nvidia g sync, asus has 270hz, dell has 280hz, samsung has hdr but idk nothing about smearing (ms), they all have 0.5ms but i heard that its very often lied soo idk how to check real ms
Probably wouldn't recommend it competitively
Yeah they always lie with response time
You should honestly check reddit where possible
Basically because if there's anything to complain about they will
what about rtings tests?
i found only dell one
Based on it being slow, might not suggest the Dell even if it was good in most other spaces
That review might point out the MSI G274QM1A as a good option as well
27" with 1080p aint working
Thinking smaller or larger?
Larger will probably cost more, but smaller may have less options
im looking for 24" 1080p
Ah ok then
Sure
2 actually
Oh right and budget does matter because I don't wanna recommend you something that costs $600
if gpu has hdmi and dp 2.1 and for example dell has hdmi and dp 1.4 and has 280gz with nvdiia g sync should i go which cable?
and my second question is if asus and dell wrote that monitors have 240hz but can oc to 270 and 280hz will i loose warranty?
That's a tough one and you might need to skim through the terms and conditions, but I would think as long as you aren't going beyond the rated limits it's fine
Display port or HDMI is easy, 2.1 HDMI transfers more bandwidth
i heard that hdmi has 32gbits and dp has 80gbits and that only dp supports nvidia g sync
It won't register as gsync compatible on HDMI, but apparently you can supposedly use Nvidia software and make it anyways
As for the transfer speeds here, I don't think DP 1.4 comes anywhere near that, closer to 25-32 while HDMI 2.1 supports 42-48
wait
gpu has dp 2.1 and hdmi 2.1, monitor has dp 1.4 and hdmi 1.4
Monitor takes the highest compatible, so I think you're actually better off with DP in the case that compatibility is only 1.4 on both
alright
You're only getting a transfer speed of 10 Gbps on HDMI 1.4 if you're curious
soo ima go dp
could you do final verdict on monitors?
my only requirements are: propably 240hz+ cause its affordable and profitable, nvidia g sync, 1080p 23-25", and low ms
and budget around 250$
Size wise it might take a while for me to find something, but ill probably be able to in an hour or two
ohhhhhh
Samsung Odyssey G4 LS25BG400EUXEN 240Hz ASUS TUF Gaming VG249QM1A 270Hz Dell G2524H
these are which i found with these tags
Between those three I'd avoid the Dell for competitive, and the Samsung might be a little iffy
I can't find any reviews on the particular g5 honestly
but rtings just said that dell is ok and 280hz just sounds sooooo gooooooddddddd
If you are fine with slightly more delay it's definitely a great option
If you're not sensitive to ghosting either, I think you'd like it
So yeah I'd say if that criteria fits, that's the monitor for you
chart isnt looking even bad
imo
but idk
Definitely not, seems like it just isn't hyperspeed
Always go display port. Always.
Looking deeper into the review it's honestly not an issue for most
I'd say listen to this guy, he probably knows more about Display Port
And on that note, what's display port got over HDMI 2.1?
The likelihood it actually is 2.1 is low at a budget would be my guess
ure asking him?
annyway from what ive heard it has 2times more bitrate or what it is and it supports g syncs
I would always ask someone who seems that confident just because they are
But I scoured the internet and although HDMI 2.1 technically wins, DP 1.4 generally gets better support for monitors
Bandwidth. Just go with a display port 2.0 cable and you’re fine always.
I'd try both just in case if you can, but if the Dell is only HDMI 1.4 completely disregard that and go DP 1.4
Seems his monitor only supports 1.4, but with a 2.0 cable is still going to work as a 2.0 input?
But yeah no I looked back and since both the HDMI and DP are 1.4, definitely go DP.
Although not true with DP 1.4 being better than HDMI 2.1 by double, that is true with HDMI 1.4 and DP 1.4
(which I forgot the monitor you settled on was 1.4 on both)
No lol
Ok soo finally
Well I would be amazed if that was the case but I'm curious why he even said it lmfao
Dp and Dell?
Or Asus
Anyway maybe it will help.you with defining my finał monitor choice, my main games are terraria and undertale
Dp and dell if you're enticed by it and don't mind a little blur, but the Asus is an IPS (less blur, better color, worse black representation) that would be better for competitive games
Ah, honestly if that's the case I'd be looking at the Asus, sure you're getting less Hz but those games don't demand it, and unless you like deeper blacks on your screen it's probably just the better option all around
Dell is also ips
Lol
Im joking these arent my main games
Well I don't know where I got that
No you're fine with the Dell then, if youre actually looking at competitive games it's going to be better if you don't mind a slight amount of ghosting, and the Asus seems to be very minimal in that regard
So ultimately it's the Dell if you want higher Hz, Asus if you want less ghosting
But at a fat 10Hz difference, I'd personally recommend the Asus
Disregard my praise of the Asus now that I'm looking deeper
If you can cancel the order if you made it I would, apparently it's got the very same issue you're worried the Koorui would have in that it's got a pretty spotty chance of surviving
When it works it's potentially better, but I can't recommend something people are RMAing for faults and having to wait 45 days to potentially not get a refund for
As yellow as the Dell is I'd rather not recommend you something that goes against what you're looking for
wdym
i didnt even order donnt worry
but whats wrong with asus
Ok good, I was hoping you didn't
Although generally good, seems they have a dying randomly issue sometimes
Honestly I'd take a very slight amount more ghosting myself than the chance that $250 just disappears
ohhhh
weird
yes soo i think ima be happy with dell
thx for help
Np, and I think you will for sure since you're already more a fan of it
yeasssss
