I’m willing to bet your cpu is fucked
Ever updated the bios?
Nope tested in another system
When does it crash, is it random or when doing a task?
You’ve just stated all parts work fine and all software works fine. That would mean you have no issue.
When did you last update the bios? This is very important for your CPU
It can be random its crashed while just watching vids or just on the web but mostly when on games
Yes all parts work fine and there is no software problems and I can't remember when I last updated my bois
Then your cpu is fucked if you’ve never updated the bios
I have updated it just don't remember the last time I have
It’s a known issue due to power being supplied to the CPU and voltages go further than what the cpu can handle
If you haven’t updated it recently. You’re killing it still
Well I'm gunna have to see if there is a new update then for it
Damage is done
But it can't be my cpu tho as I have tested it in another system and it works perfectly
Define tested? You dropped it in turned in and then back out again?
I have packed my pc up for now but there’s some people here that can help you diagnose with it. Think @spring basalt is very good with working this one out. But yeah if you’ve let your 14700f just set its own power for 2+ years and not updated (or many times even if you have updated) bios… 99% rest assured you just need to RMA the cpu. Get a new one and update bios
I got another system here and i took each part out put it in my other system stressed testing each part and they came back good so there nothing wrong with them
Screens going black and fans ramping is virtually always the GPU crashing.
Run DDU and then grab the latest driver from Nvidia. https://rtech.support/factoids/ddu/
Their drivers have been quite bad for the last 6 months so if you have still crash try this driver (DDU again): https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/drivers/details/237719/
If it still happens, a faulty GPU would be my main suspect.
I have done this and its a still happened and I put it in another pc did what I normally do and it still works normally so its not a gpu problem
Okay so as you’ve stated everything works fine in another system. No supplied tests on what you did. Replace the motherboard.
Only thing left it can be
I got a spare mobo and tested and its still bugging. This is a really odd case and its doing my head in
Well you’re doing something wrong
I'm not tho that's the problem i have took it to a shop today to see if there is anything I.missed
is the psu enough for the pc?
850w
My psu is a MSI MAG A850GL 850w 80 plus gold fully modular
well thats not the issue
psu calculator says you should be fine
I know
might be malware, have you tried replacing the drive?
if that doesnt work try ram and if that fails i got nothing
Did a full reset on the system
I have also tried new and old ram that I had around
undervolt gpu
Already done that
@zenith anvil I'm on a different server where we focus on tech support and we made a tool that gathers a bunch of logs from Windows and shows system info. If you want to, we could try running that and see if we find anything. I completely understand not wanting to run random software, but tag me if you want to try it.
I took the pc to a shop yesterday I think it was coz i can't figure it out so I'm hoping the shop has a good shot with it
