Ever updated the bios?

When does it crash, is it random or when doing a task?

Then your cpu is fucked if you’ve never updated the bios

zenith anvil
#

I have updated it just don't remember the last time I have

chilly sleet
#

It’s a known issue due to power being supplied to the CPU and voltages go further than what the cpu can handle

#

If you haven’t updated it recently. You’re killing it still

zenith anvil
#

Well I'm gunna have to see if there is a new update then for it

Damage is done

Define tested? You dropped it in turned in and then back out again?

#

I have packed my pc up for now but there’s some people here that can help you diagnose with it. Think @spring basalt is very good with working this one out. But yeah if you’ve let your 14700f just set its own power for 2+ years and not updated (or many times even if you have updated) bios… 99% rest assured you just need to RMA the cpu. Get a new one and update bios

Tested HOW

Did you run aida? Occt?

Screens going black and fans ramping is virtually always the GPU crashing.

Run DDU and then grab the latest driver from Nvidia. https://rtech.support/factoids/ddu/

Their drivers have been quite bad for the last 6 months so if you have still crash try this driver (DDU again): https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/drivers/details/237719/

If it still happens, a faulty GPU would be my main suspect.

Okay so as you’ve stated everything works fine in another system. No supplied tests on what you did. Replace the motherboard.

Only thing left it can be

I got a spare mobo and tested and its still bugging. This is a really odd case and its doing my head in

@zenith anvil I'm on a different server where we focus on tech support and we made a tool that gathers a bunch of logs from Windows and shows system info. If you want to, we could try running that and see if we find anything. I completely understand not wanting to run random software, but tag me if you want to try it.
