I've got it running at 70-80c most of the time. It dips below that at times but this is not normal. In games it's also 80c, probably ggetting close to 90c.
I'm using AG400 as the fan, it's a NZXT H510 case, got 2 exhaust fans and two intakes at the frontend. Thermal paste was reapplied 3-4 months ago.
Can't tell but I can feel the cpu warming up my room. Not great. This is with 10-14 tabs open and an ide

nzxt cam is the worst trash i have ever seen never ever use it an uninstall it, like hwmonitor has issues but is about usable but nzxt cam just makes its own numbers somehow from reading the same sensors

what is the power use, how tight did you tighten it and also pleas install a usbale temp monitoring program like hwinfo

Here i thought the gpu would act like a space heater but apparently a little chip will do much more

It’s got 3d cache of which has an insulated layer between the cache and ihs
It gets hot quick

Yeah I wonder how hot mine will get if we have a hot summer. Last year was like 34c and I was bouncing off 85/86c with my air cooler. They think uk will hit 40 this year
Browsing on my 7800x3d is like 62c so yeah. The extra heat is normal. At the moment my idle is 40c in 26c heat. Goes as low as 35c in winter

Well I’m gonna bet that if this is unusual behaviour for your cpu, that you’ve not reapplied thermal paste in a long time

To be fair you’re also using hardware accelerated video then as your gpu has 20% usage
So it’s gonna be warmer than just browsing an rss feed as the cpu is doing more and using more instructions

Sim is bang on btw. If you’re playing hard games and not thermal throttling then it’s fine. Sounds like your outside temperature may be fucking ya a bit.
-20 on my 7800x3d. If I take it off I get an extra 2c.
