so i recently bought a brand new zotac 3070 ti for 300 and a rm750x. i installed them today just to find out that my prebuilt mobo is incompatible. i currently have a i7 8700 but i am looking to upgrade it since i think it would be better to just upgrade the whole chip rather than just get a new mobo for it. i already have a case picked out at $105. i am looking for chip suggestions and mobo. i would prefer the price to be under $550. i can use the stock cpu coolor until i get paid. (i am thinking abt getting a i5-13400F)

WHAT?????????
you sure the gpu works?
as pcie devices cant be compatible or not compatible, its like USB
there is really no such thing as incompatible Gpu and mobo. As the dude above me said, it's like usb, doesnt matter if you have usb 3 and plug into a usb 2 or heck, even 1, it will work anyway at maximum speed of the lower one
