5070 ti thermal putty leak

I have the same model, and the same issue. There seems to be some runny putty around.

I usually use my devices to the end of life, so I may be concerned about the long term value. I may also be using the graphics card heavily, so thermal performance might be something important for me.

I got this for $750 from an open box (maybe someone else returned for the same reason?)

I am considering MSI Shadow 3x OC instead now, I am thinking its better build quality, and I can trust it can work for a long time. It is however priced $835 right now.

Should I consider? Other options? NVIDIA cards only.

no I managed to get my hand on an open box of this card. So if I buy the exact same GPU model again, it would be $840 (Santa Clara Microcenter)
