I personally will ALWAYS get 2 drives. I usualy have the smallest as my boot, and only use it for drivers, OS, updates etc. And the other drives are games etc. That way if one drive has a fit, I won't lose everything.

That being said, spending $500 on fans and a case is just .... yeah.... you could upgrade to a 5080 at that point.
