Since you just bought the PS5 but it's not functioning normally, exchange or return it at the store. If the store won't take it back, contact Sony to file a warranty claim.

Ah, so it wasn't bought new... it's very possible you purchased a PS5 with a known problem.

Since you found burnt / melted plastic inside and it turns off due to heat, sounds like it's overheating.
