So I wanted to relax this weekend by playing on my beautiful 4K TV, however what I got was frustration because the input lag was so obnoxious. I was playing on my Nintendo Switch, played it in handheld and the input was amazing, I could do everything the way I wanted, I needed the precision, but when I play on my TV, I can't do what I want, I can't be precise, I can tell there's delay and it pisses me off. Thing is I remember the TV not having this much input lag, is there a way to decrease the input lag to be tolerable? It's an Android TV and I already disabled some settings like smoothing and things like that.

Apparently the Monitor mode on my TV is actually better than Game mode and reselecting hdmi 2.1 in the options also makes it better? I guess it's tolerable now but I am still confused how
Contact the manufacturer and ask them what input mode offers the lowest lag. You likely already found it by way of Monitor mode though. If that's still not low enough for you, replace the TV with one that meets your needs.
Thanks but that won't be needed, I am enjoying my time with it now
