Hello Im a newbie into laptops and PCs, and I want to upgrade my laptop's SSD storage (the storage by default is an SSD-from the shop), and the only thing i know is that it has an Nvme bus.

Firstly i wanna know if there is any limitations to the SSDs and HDDs types that can be connected in the laptop cos afaik there are different sizes of SSDs and connectors so im not sure about how to go about ensuring it doesn't fit in the motherboard and stuff like that ('m really a newbie into computers)

It looks like you can upgrade the storage on it, but only uses pcie 3

#

So, you can use a pcie4 gen ssd, but it wont be fully utilized. Save some money and buy a pcie3

a pcie3?

Yes

#

Pcie gen 3 or 4 are fine. You just cant utilize the gen 4 to full speed

#

So you could save money and get a gen 3
