Bro
Maybe the storage drive is not functioning properly?

#

since sometimes, if the storage is not detected it will go to bios

#

Maybe trying choosing the storage media from bios but be careful with bios

Try booting into Linux or something from a USB. sounds like a hard drive issue. Does the hard drive show in the bios boot order?

Try safe mode to eliminate drivers from possible issues typically but otherwise USB live mode with Linux distro like Ubuntu or mint is usually good way to check other hardware without necessitating an install.

#

If don't even get safe mode/first loading screen for windows then is more likely disk issue (can't find or load boot disk or efi/esp partitions)

Hmm so I was mixing this up with another issue but the point about secure boot with efi partitions still sorta relevant... if just tried fixing windows bootloader config then shouldn't have anything corrupt in the efi partitions... If just happened out of the blue does seem likely is some kind of failing storage issue or if memory failing can have bad bytes written back to disk that can mess things up.

Is this a new pc build? What specs? Include any drivers you installed. @rustic coral

Being completely honest im unsure

The 572 drivers cause these exact issues, its why I'm asking.

#

Having experienced it myself

How would i check. Btw i just got into desktop, but how would i be able to make sure my pc is stable and that this isnt just a random break

I mean, not booting is a clear indicator. The fact bios is loading up says its not a likely gpu / output issue. If you can boot into safe mode, a way to check is to download driver 566.36 or 566.16 and roll back to that driver.

.
Step 1, download the gpu driver for your gpu.

Step 2, download DDU (https://www.guru3d.com/download/display-driver-uninstaller-download/), and extract it to your desktop into its own folder.

Step 3, disconnect from the internet entirelly.

Step 4, boot into safe mode.

Step 5, run ddu. Keep all options at default. Select the gpu driver (intel, nvidia, amd) then click, "clean and restart" the recomended option.

Step 6, when pc boots, install that gpu driver you downloaded prior.

Step 7, after the gpu driver installs, hook back to the internet.

I’ve installed drivers before. What im asking as im on desktop rn. Is there a way to make sure my pc is stable before i even delete and reinstall drivers

If its a driver issue, running the programs you are asking for, wont necessarily show any issues. Gaming is the sure fire way to tell.

#

And the directions I gave are for properly using DDU, not installing drivers.

My desktop is also a bit laggy

You can run stress tests or benchmarking programs, and compare the results to similar specced systems. And if you are within 10% of them then you are fine.

#

But start with DDU wiping the driver. And use DDU, dont just roll back the driver manually. That's where problems arise.

I have to go to work, should i keep my pc on till then or just power it off and go from there later

Also, run the below commands in cmd, as administrator.

#

Fix 1. Open a elevated command prompt and run sfc /scannow

Fix 2. Dism /online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup

Fix 3. Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth

Fix 4. Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

#

.
Power it off
