#CPU temps

When playing warzone my 14700k usually runs around 70c. After about an hour it runs around 60c. It’s not thermal throttling according to hwinfo64. It’s just weird it runs cooler after playing longer. What would be causing this?

Fan curve adjusting to the temperature

I have my fans set at a static speed. Same with aio. It’s weird. No throttling at all. My cpu clock speeds are consistent as well.

How old is the AIO?

#

Could be loss of liquid and once the air is moved out to the rad and more liquid is on the block it’s settling the temperature.

Brand new

It’s a Corsair nautilus 360

Weird. What’s the orientation in the case?

#

As it sounds like the pump isn’t working as it should

#

That can be due to orientation if you’ve got front rad with pipes at top

Pipes at the top means nothing. As long as the rad is higher than the pump, it’ll work fine

I've completely had it with people posting Steve's video about AIO mounting when its clear they didn't even WATCH his video... STOP IT!

Yeah however 9 times out of 10 the pump is below the rad

#

And people have struggling pumps like is probably this case

#

Otherwise very unlucky to get a newly built AIO gone through QA with a damaged pump

#

Although could also be not enough pump power but unlikely to see his result in temps, should be consistently same temp

Rad is up top

The pump speed is consistent. I have my pump and my case fans set to static speeds. It doesn’t overheat. Warzone is the only game I have seen this. Halo and destiny temps are consistently in the low 60s.

When are you measuring the higher temperature?

#

Is it like 1 minute in?

arctic cedar
#

It runs 68-70c when I’m in a warzone match for the first hour I play.

#

In a match.

rich marlin
#

It stays at 70 for a whole hour?

#

Or is it slowly going down for that hour

arctic cedar
#

It bounces around like normal temps do from like 65-71 and then it’s like you flip a switch it drops and runs 58-61.

#

It’s very weird.

rich marlin
#

And clocks, voltage, and power are the same the whole time?

arctic cedar
#

Correct

rich marlin
#

maybe thermal expansion making the cooler contact better?

arctic cedar
#

Idk like I said it seems like it’s only on warzone. It’s a good thing cause even running at 70 while gaming it’s fine but even better at 60. It’s just driving me crazy wondering if it’s some ticking time bomb I’m gonna have to deal with eventually.

What is it other times

arctic cedar
#

At idle around 31c. In other games it runs between 58 and 65. Only games I have played other than warzone is destiny 2 and halo infinite. Both on max settings.

This is in destiny 2 in a pretty active area.
