Just wanted to share my experience on my first gpu deshrouding because of fan noise and limited cooling provided by the case
)The gpu model is not the best choice for deshrouding as you need to bend the metal tabs that holds the shroud and fan cable, bending those tabs are absolutely nerve wrecking as you hear all sorts of creaking noise.
)Original plan was to use 3 noctua's na-a12x25 but they were 5mm too thick making it impossible to mount the gpu, so went with the 15mm thick case fan.
)By screwing the 15mm case fan on the back of the case there is a small 5mm gap left between the fan and the gpu radiator, which wouldnt be good for the temperature.
)Eager to have the system running so i can game, I started to look around online for ideas and inspiration, found out noctua make a foam duct. Inspired i created this monster of a fan duct from an unused yoga mat thats right the purple foam stuff is a cut up yoga mat.
)Will replace the 15mm fan with noctua's na-a12x15 and the yoga mat with proper foam duct in the future.
