if its electrocuting you you'd really need medical attention
if its just it shocking you a bit when you touch it anywhere its normal, its a phenominon known as static electricity and isnt dangerous
unless that static hits the components
shocking them
??
so
how likely is that to happen?
Even the I/O panels are shocking me
as long as you dont touch the components its good
I don’t think it is static tho
Im barefoot when touching the pc
and the psu shocked me too when i accidentally touched it
dont have to have socks on to get static electricity
well how can I get rid of it?
pc is freezing completely and I have to remove the cmos battery and put it back for it to work again correctly
oh then idk
I don’t get shocked if I touch anything metallic tho
does it has something to see with the pc?
@rigid yacht
idk
You dont get shocked because the electricity goes from the pc, to your body and to the metalic thing
If you dont touch anything metalic the electricity only can go to your body
Your pc freezing its probably not from that tho, cause I have that too and my pc works fine
When does It freeze?
Gaming, YouTube, idle, anytime?
If gaming, maybe temps, if anytime, maybe RAM is a little dusty
bros pc might hate him
check for cables that are loose and touching the case
or maybe, guys, he has some cable touching his case, the resistance of his body and whatever is in the middle between his fingers and the deadly electricity is making it soft enough to not kill the guy, because for him being killed, he need to touch both neutral and phase cable, something that he aint doing, his body is probably being used as a conductor between the phase and the ground, and when he touches the computer he's probably causing some emf of some sort that destabilize the fragile operations of the cpu or ram, or whatever
@kind agate if you're not some dude that can understand electricity stuff, I'll take the pc to a repair center and make it being check for eventual broken cables
I connected the pc to a different outlet
it didn’t shock me
When I connected the extension to the same outlet it started shocking me
sounds like you've got wiring issues in your house.
you might wanna call an electrician.
There are outlet testers to see if you have a grounding issue on that outlet. Once you’ve resolved that, open another thread for Windows freezing if it still occurs.
man windows is a pain the a**
