budget
probably around 500-600
GPU
ur cpu ram and mobo is fine possible psu upgrade
if this is cad go for a 7800XT
if its USD go for a 7900xtx 9070xt and probably upgrade ur PSU
if you insist on going Nvidia reccomendations are 3080Ti,
4070Ti Super
(again this is my local used market your milage may vary) always bench the card your looking at IN PERSON and check ROPS and bench it using furmark or whatever bench you prefer.
thank you i appreciate it and i was wondering about the cpu but that clears is up cause some people say the ryzen 9 5900x isent good compared to the expensive ones
now what about a 4070 super not the 4070ti super
the 5900x is 100% capable dw lol u might gain 1-5% performance going to am5 but its not much to be made
compared to the 7800XT the 4070 really isnt worth it.
if you can score a 4070ti or a 4070ti super for that price point definatly go for it
Prices in CAD*
the Nvidia tax is real
for 200$ more canadian* you can get a 9070XT which blows this thing out the water
Its a 6 core cpu
Well while gaming
But I have seen many people have issues due to that whole thing about being 12 core on paper but while gaming 6 core
what world are you on where a r9 5900x is 6 cores
its a 12 core
Not when gaming
Ccd
so for a 5950x would it be the same problem im only using 8?
Yus
so is it beneficial to swap it out for a x3d chip on am4 or just go to am5
It's the reason why I changed my cpu in my laptop from r9 3950x to a r5 3600
X3d chips on am4 are horribly priced rn
Cheaper to just make the swap to am5
Most of the time with stutters it tends to be the cpu while with a bad gpu it's just low fps
i mean i can probably get around trading my 5950x directly for a 5800x3d
