I suggest you clean install windows... using a usb stick!...

If it came preinstalled... then you have an.. oem key..
It will auto activate when you install windows...

Oem key tied to your device... you dont need to get it..

It will "auto activate ".. when you install windows..

I have tried using the Media Creation Tool but all that left me was a blank screen and a cursor to play around with

and a big waste of time

Okay..so the alternative to media creation tool..is rufus or ventoy..
But rufus needs secure boot off..
Ventoy has 50-50 chance to work with secure boot on..

.since you have secure boot
on...and win11 24h2 needs secure boot on...

Clean installing would be a good choice..
