Would I need to consider replacing this battery on my laptop? Because it still works perfectly fine and I'm a little worried it might cause a lot of damage in the near future

Replace it asap

#

It has the potential to go boom

Okay should I remove it myself? Because I haven't removed one before

#

And I don't have money to have someone remove it

Okay I think it is screwed in I can unscrew it and get the battery out and would I take it to a recycling place?

Get yourself a plastic spudger/pry tool or something non conductive and wiggle it left and right as you apply pressure. It will eventually come out.

second

#

if u have a warranty, use that first

#

itll be a much cheaper, easier and less risky repair process

#

and if u dont have a warranty

#

buy a new battery

#

and install the new battery

#

preferably get one from the brand of ur laptop

#

just make sure everything is plugged in right and uve done a full power down of ur laptop before u remove the battery

#

and make sure its not plugged in with a charger while u do so
