Pop!_OS is a bit buggy sometimes with the installer. Can you run sudo fdisk -l in the terminal and send the output? It will tell us a lot more about the disks
i will try
the 120 gig drive is right there
And the installer can't see it?
Can you show me what the installers says?
Ohh okay, I think I know what's happening. In the terminal, run sudo wipefs -a /dev/sdb and make sure to check spelling, as that command COMPLETELY WIPES THE DRIVE. It can be recovered, but it is VERY VERY HARD
Interesting
i dont need any of my data here, i will try
That's what I thought
Just so you don't nuke the installer
oh, alright
that can happen
i ran the command, but it din't seem to do anything
You need to restart the installer
Otherwise you can simply try to install, it might just be a UI bug and it will probably work just fine
alright
Only the installer, the live image can stay online
So click "Cancel Installation" and re-open it
alright
it doesnt let me select the drive
it says, that the "disk does not meet the minimal requirement
Ohh okay. Then I would recommend trying a different distro
Okay RIP
which one do you recommend?
oh okay
I would recommend EndeavourOS or Linux Mint
thank you so much! i installed endeavour os and its amazing
What desktop did you choose? I would assume GNOME?
i use that one
Very nice. Imo second best Desktop Environment, after Xfce (but I only prefer Xfce because of its customisation. I use Hyprland myself with a LOT of customisation. I am currently working on rewriting my whole status bar and various other components of the desktop)
Very nice workflow don’t you think?
