Bought the gigabyte m27q (rev2) and when i wanted to download osd sidekick, when installed, it says to check if usb cable is connected, when it clearly is, even using the usb hub mouse works fine. How to fix this

Gigabyte hardware is great
Gigabyte software sucks ass.
I wouldn't even bother trying.

Heck i didnt even know they made screens

#

So im guessing the usb cable is for the type c's and other hubs on the monitor?

usb c port is available but im using included usb a to usb b "3.whatever" cable

#

it has 2 usb a ports for the hub and also acts as a kvm between usb b and usb c with a button press

First thing I always do, is make sure gigabyte control center is turned off in bios, then uninstall it in windows

#

Its borderline malware

Right, but i read gigabyte above, then the other guy mentioned their software

#

Might not apply to you here, but point still stands, their software is awful

the talk was actually about software, but not to a bios level

#

they have an app for controlling some of the monitor features and it says the usb isnt connected properly when it is as the hub works fine with my mouse and keyboard

I dont install the control panel, i only install the osd sidekick and it installs rgb fusion and some patriot ssd rgb app too

uninstall those, and just get signalRGB

#

one app to control it all

#

and one app to bind them
