I have been trying out dual booting for work reasons.
I found out that I had the wrong version of mint so I cleaned the drive in diskpart and have gone to try and reinstall the correct version of mint. However, no when I try to boot my pc it goes into Grub which I thought was installed on on the drive I had dedicated to mint. Evidently not.
I'm at a but of a loss as I don't know how to use grub. And I can't boot into any OS
any help appreciated

Yeah you might have wiped the link to the grub.cfg file. I believe you have a Windows install? Do you still have the Mint installer?

Okay so update, I followed a guide for a similar issue on stack overflow. And I'm now back into windows. Gonna try and reinstall mint now and see where I get to

I see, so I assume you simply went into BIOS and switched to Windows's bootloader?

no, when i was in grub, if you type exit twice it spites you into whatever it can and that put me into windows. i then had to open the volume containing EFI info on my c: drive and remove all mentions of ubuntu
that got me to a point of putting me straight into windows on startup
im hoping that grub doesnt exist somwhere still and will mess with me later XD
