I had an alienware pc for a bit, the psu died after a while

I can understand a Alienware monitor but other peripherals, das crazy. This was a bundle pack right?

Peripherals were all free with rewards

Except monitor obviously

So Im coming from a gtx 670...yeah that's right ha. I travel every week for work and wanted something more plug and play as I just don't have the time to spend building one myself (or at least I do but not how I want to spend the time at home anyway.)

That's a bummer. Did you end up swapping the psu?

I was close to going the laptop route with my travels but I already have a steam deck so I have the portable play already covered. I settled for this and stream play from it when I'm remote with my deck and then I have a nice setup to use when I'm home on the weekends.

Also I bought this pretty recently. Budget wasn't a concern and needed something fairly quickly as this travel thing of mine is new and need to pick back up the hobby. The 4090 vs 5090 prebuilt was a real struggle for me given all the news on the 5090 debacles. I actually pre ordered a Corsair prebuilt 5090 the day they announced it just for them to cancel the order and jack up the price. I was pretty sour about that. 4090s are drying up and I just pulled the trigger ha

Yeah swapped the PSU and all is good now

My parents currently use it for spreadsheets and chrome

i took the gpu out of it so i could use it in a server so they’re just using the IGPU

the old alienware machines were actually not bad, i just really dislike the proprietary parts they use

Yeah I hear ya... The new area 51 shows a lot of promise answering those concerns from customers
