Hi!

I need an External SSD drive to use for play games from it

The games i will play are games that came out in the last years and some future ones.

Hope you can help me out since i am clueless about the matter... no idea which brands are good, what specs i should look for...

(Also... would be used to replace two external drives from early 2000s.)

because due to family reasons i am moving a lot between my place in the city and the house in the village.

An External SSD it's easier to carry than an entire PC.

but i am planning to switch to gaming laptop in future (second hand one).
I know it's not the same as a desktop, lower performance ... but mobility has the priority

Since you dont have a laptop..

Either way...you are kinda fine..but.. loose connection due to movement or anything can corrupt the data..or disrupt the gaming experience...

Nvme m.2 enclosure + nvme ssd

Just use an M.2 SSD

#

You can take them out/put them in in like 30 seconds

#

Easy to store if you keep the original box

#

If my main PC goes down I can switch to my old one in like 30 seconds by switching over my M.2

The enclosure itself doesn’t matter afaik, as long as it specifically supports nvme.
The drive can be any high(ish) endurance drive from a reputable brand

OK nice.
any minimum enclosure specs, speed i should look for?

what you mean by "good endurance"?

Meaning it can be overwritten many times. High TBW rating.

#

Just so you need to worry less about the ssd dying

OK thanks for the help.

the klevv cras c910 seems to be a good deal (at least in the US) with really good endurance
