Did you check Crash logs or Event viewer?
I also have this issue for years, it happens once a month or so for me, if its not too often then you have to live with it
googling this issue results in basically only AMD processors
seems like they cant produce a stable cpu bruh

reinstall my gpu drivers?
Yes
im stuck on when i enter safe mode cos it keeps asking me to setup my pin
Welp then the only thing I can think of is marvel rivales just does not like the gpu
it happens on other games aswell
@plucky jungle Could you open Event Viewer → Windows Logs → System, then scroll down to the timestamp of the latest crash? There should be a Kernel-Power event here, right click and save, upload to Discord.
While there, also check after and before the Kernel-Power event if you have any events from "WHEA-logger". If you do, upload that as well.
cant find any from there
@plucky jungle The event didn't detect anything. So just from this and your description, power would be my main suspect.
It doesn't freeze for a few seconds before powering off right? Just like something pressed the reset button?
yeah thats what happens
my psy?
psu
hmm would i be able to return my psu cos i built my pc wuite recently
Which model is it?
wdym like the make and the rating
No, like Corsair RM850x
hmm thats weird then
You can always get a lemon, just less likely with a good product line
yeah true
is there any other way i can check whats happening like what component it is
The issue here is that from shutdowns, you don't really get any logs.
I'm on a techsupport discord and we made a tool for gathering all diagnostic data we could think of so if you want to you could run that.
But I understand not wanting to run random programs
how big is the server
It's the discord for reddit.com/r/techsupport.
So thousands
7000 online right now
You can of course go through there and find it. On the right hand side of the reddit channel, click Live Chat for the Discord link. In the chat on the discord type ?sfy to get the link posted by the bot.
okay ill have a look later if thats okay
Sure.
You can run it on your own and look yourself. It creates a web link (We delete data after 24 hours).
Here is what it looks like, this is of my PC: https://spec-ify.com/profile/62405365
In that field in the middle where you see the SMART error and the shutdowns, we have put some things that the tool can just detect and give a warning about.
because if i run it and then i can ss a pic of what the error says
Well, we don't have much stuff that the tool automatically tells you about.
And the tool just is double click to run. You can go click Settings and remove usernames which is the only sensitive thing that could be included really
You will get a warning from Windows that it's not a popular tool so it can't gurantee that it's safe.
When you run it.
That weirds a lot of people out, but there isn't really anything we can do about that.
You can screenshot the home page and the list if you expand Unexpected Shutdowns if you scroll down.
It's just hard to think about what I usually check because it's just automatic
okay ill try it latwe potentially
And nothing noted in the middle section?
not really
so what could the problem be
I don't have a different suspect than power.
Be that the PSU, the power cable, if it's connected to a surge protector or UPS that has issues, or the power from the wall.
okay im going to try anoither power cable
And if you are using a power strip or anything else between the PC and wall, connect it directly to the wall.
its just weird because i built my pc at christmas and it was all okay for a few weeks, but since like 2-3 weeks ago its started happening
hi when im playing games my gpu is at like 97-99% utilisation and i think might be the reason it keeps crashing how can i lower this utilisation percent or is it normal
Limit the framerate or lower the settings until it's no longer the bottleneck.
You WANT your gpu to be utilizing the most. And 97-99% is actually good. Means your gpu is being used which is what it's purpose is.
please can someone help i keep having the issue
the critical is the time when myt pc crashed
@plucky jungle Have you replaced the PSU?
nooo but i might try do that
