Hello, I have been having an issue for about a week now, where my connection will disconnect and reconnect. I searched up what some of the issues could be and still have the problem.

I have tried, updating my lan drivers, flushing dns, went and got a new router thinking that was the problem (it wasnt) , bought a new Ethernet cable and re ran it under my house to my pc, i also checked my old cable and there seemed to be no visual issues with it. And still no luck 😦

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated thank you!

Wait, when you say you ran an ethernet cable under the house... are you plugging into an RJ-45 ethernet wall jack, then using a long cable to connect that jack to another wall jack, then another ethernet cable to your router/modem?

no i have a hole in the floor under my router and ran the cable under the house

Gotcha. What happens when you directly connect the computer to the router/modem using a shorter known-good working ethernet cable? Even if you have to move the computer to the room with the router/modem temporarily, this is a very good test to rule out cable length or other issues with the cable.

I changed cords

Does the same cable work with another device? This will 110% prove if it's the cable or not.

I havent got the new mobo yet comes in on friday so i will have to put it all together

Ah gotcha -- good troubleshooting steps by trying another motherboard model. If a new mobo model and/or new Windows install don't solve the issue, it's gotta be somewhere upstream from the computer.

Router / modem not liking something about the connection. Kinda hard to believe without logs that indicate what's happening though... Tis like chasing a needle in a haystack.
