get 2x48 6000MT cl30 and only 2 sticks total
then 9800X3D (make sure to update bios)
and ofc the 5090 other then that there is nothing else to upgrade
this is the best possible pc you can get
Part List - AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D, GeForce RTX 5090, Lian Li O11 Dynamic EVO ATX Mid Tower
why are you changing so many parts from the old build?
will you be using the old pc as a streaming pc or something?
Selling on Facebook marketplace
why not upgrade?
Gonna steam and game on new one
Because I can’t be bothered selling parts on their own so I’m just gonna sell the full thing
Any opinion on the SSD motherboard or power supply
well tbh you would only need to throw in a new gpu
already the 2nd best gaming cpu
What is the best streaming and gaining CPU
7800X3D/9800X3D
Are you telling me the new one literally has zero performance over the other two
unless you are at 1080p then yeah the new one does not really do much
Okay
most games are gpu bound
Fair enough
OK, back to my power supply. Someone mentioned something about it earlier. Do you know what they were on about?
well the 5090 has some insane spikes but the psu you already have is made to take them
Are you referring to the Corsa one or the new one I was looking at
the one that is in the pc you are using now
why 2x48
max size you can get for ddr5 for now with only 2 sticks
I thought there was virtually zero performance difference
well with ram there can some to be had
but when you have more then 2 sticks with ddr5 speeds drop HARD
and you really start to lose performance
aka the best move would be to take out 2 sticks from the pc you have now and then slap in a 5090 then you are about as good as you can get with pc hardware
So HX1200i vs HX1200 what’s diff
Why not just 2x16 why 2x48
Any diff or nah
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, GeForce RTX 5090, Lian Li O11 Dynamic EVO ATX Mid Tower
difference is one is digitial i think
Idk what that means haha
you can see temps and power usage in icue or hwinfo64
32GB total is fine but with a 5090 budget then just going for 2x48 and maxing out how much you can get on am5 before slow downs
Ok
