when i hit printscreen in disk managment it doesnt work
use snipping tool...to take screenshot
launch snipping tool...its built in
i do not even have prt scrn on my keyboard so i always always use snipping tool
how is this drive connected?...internally or externally?
sata, internal
does it contain...important data?..
ok the disk is defo not in a format windows can read
yes
did you install linux to disk 0?
no its on E (disk 2)
when was the last time it worked?...was it on this pc?..or a different pc?
why in the hell did you use ntfs for a linux boot drive
this pc, before a windows update
i have a 50gb partition on that for linux, the rest is games on windows
so the issue started...right after a windows update?....
yeah, 24H2 i think
24h2 has a lot of issues
Im also in the Canary insider channel
I believe this drive was in MBR format...not GPT...after the update...the drive was reintialized in the uefi system which is kinda incompatible with MBR style drives.. ...and it went to hardlock mode...
how to fix?
backup important personal files...off the drive... and wipe the drive and set it as GPT...
backup using linux...onto another drive...if you get that..
