#New AIO Install - Can’t Boot My PC

Hello everyone!

I have a problem on my PC following a change of Power Supply and AIO.

I currently have a CM Asrock B450 Steel Legend, coupled with a Ryzen 7 5800X, a CG RTX 3080 TI.

The AIO I'm installing is a Sapphire S240 - A and the power supply is an EVGA 850 GT.

Here's my problem:

I've just finished installing everything and the computer won't boot. It shuts down a quarter of a second after I click on the power button. The power supply makes a little clicking noise as if I had a short circuit.

I've disconnected and reconnected the aio and all its connectors. On the other hand, when I remove the SATA power supply from the AIO, the PC boots normally (the AIO doesn't dcp...).

Can you enlighten me?

If unpowering the AIO stops the issue it sounds like it might actually be shorting something (as you described the sound). Is it possible the AIO is pushing you over your power limit? Playing that close to your PSU power rating isn't a good idea, but if you were there and are hitting it now maybe it's shutting off as overcurrent protection. If that's not the case I'd probably contact the AIO manufacturer and go back to your old cooler in the short term, as it's obviously not good if the AIO is causing a shutdown.

I would go on the assumption it's the AIO then, if the AIO is causing it to shut off when connected. If you have another sata power cable you could try that in case there's something wrong with it? But you don't want to be having it force shutdown excessively beyond testing.

I Added a New SATA cord to My modular PSU and connected the AIO, now the PC starts, the AIO not Working, the pc stops restarts after a few seconds (loop)

slick camera work btw

If it still works without the AIO connected at all I'd definitely keep blaming the AIO if you don't have another system you can test it on. I'd hope their customer support would sort you out, as if plugging in their product is causing power cycle issues they can't possibly expect everyone has multiple rigs to troubleshoot it in more detail.

But now I plugged in and IT works My pc starts

The AIO dont works, the PC loops

You said it still cycled after a few seconds?

If you unplug the AIO does it start properly?

#

Maybe don't do that without another fan on it actually... You said you had before but I don't want you to accidentally cook your CPU.

The RGB on the fans works

Yeah, based on what you said I'd try removing the AIO from the equation completely, to test if it's causing the issues.

#

If we can rule that out diagnosing it vs something else becomes more clear. Though I may not be a ton of help with other suggestions.

The Pump and the fans seems to works, they go all out when I turn the pc on

But the PC turns off and on every 15 seconds
