I'm using MSI afterburner trynna find my 1% and 0.1% fps for capping purposes. Yet Everytime I reset the results immediately my normal fps jump to like 160-170fps and the same time before even having drops my 1% and 0.1% show way lower results which I can't comprehend. See image.
And why is it that my game plays very smooth but cutscenes have micro stutters like once every 5 seconds? It's acceptable but still annoying.
Newest driver installed twice with ddu and chipset.

Remember that when youre starting the tests its merely measuring an averaage of those values
so if you only have 4 seconds of data

Refresh rate is 175, vrr between 48 and 175. With the lows I was trying to see what I can cap it to but I doubt I would cap it to 84% when it runs mostly on 150 tho

1% lows will always be considerably lower than average fps, dont look at those when u want to limit your fps

That would seal it in this case yes but trynna find the reasoning for this when playing other games where I might have around 100fps so I can always tell what to cap my fps to

well when you click into the game start the monitoring etc all tells your system to do somethign else which will be measured as a stutter
you restarted the monitoring, monentarily "distracting" your computer
solution to that one is to test longer for your data
and the micro stutters thing im not sure, could just be a GoW thing

it literally doesnt matter maan theres a million variables and the solution is the same to all of them, test longer
that 4fps anomaly will easily clear itself if its an actual anomaly after like another 3 minutes of logging

if you have an aio, test until aio is saturated and temps are stabilized
only use data after aio has saturated

How should I "extract" the data for what to cap my fps at? Is there any rule or just like how I feel? When running 100fps for example maybe 80?

if stuttery, you cap to something lower
and lower
and lower
when stutter disappears thats your cap

i get 300-350 fps in cs2
i cap to 300 for consistency, if it drops it drops

lock your fps to your 1% low or a little above it
That's the problem tho when my monitoring shows stupid data like 80fps the moment I press recording I wouldn't trust it and would not want to miss out on maybe 50fps more which I could hold constant

sit in a more demanding area, run around for 3-5 minutes with no loading screens no pause no anything, good enough baseline
or just lock to something you feel is nice, like 130 if that doesnt feel inconsistent to you

the monitoring is pretty scuffed over loading screens and menus so avoid all of that as much as you can to avoid incorrect data
