#I want to switch from an amd to an nvidia but still keeping it kinda cheap and this is a gaming pc

Not my current but what I want to get
K, what's the budget and what's the use case?
2k max
And the use case?
Basically
What you will use it for
Gaming then I want to play a lot of games
At what resolution and refresh rate?
Basically
How good is the screen you're going to hook it up to
The answer is 1080p280
Aka "fairly light"
This computer will do, though it might be somewhat overkill
how so
Well
The GPU is pretty much spot on
But for pure gaming, that might be too much CPU
That said, it won't perform worse due to it being too much; it'll just cost more than absolutely necessary
But! If you're okay with the price of that system as is, it's going to be a good purchase
i wouldn't mind making it cheaper if you know how
A Ryzen 7600 will probably be plenty of compute
Waaaaaait hold on
I'm dumb
I read that CPU as as "7700X"
Brain fart
Disregard everything I said
Sorry
Thanks
😅
ok no problem
ehem
So
Ryzen 5600X
Not too bad
But I'd say look at the Ryzen 7600 instead
The thing
5600X will still be plenty of compute
But it's built on AM4 instead of the newer AM5
Quite a lot iirc
Tho the main upgrade there would be DDR5 RAM over DDR4
(you'd need a different motherboard and RAM sticks, yes -- but the 7600 comes with a free cooler, so you don't need to spend extra on that)
Do you know what to do and what I need?
