So with the release of the 5000 series NIVIDIA cards I'm sort of stuck right now. My build was gonna be the Ryzen 5 7600x for my CPU and a 7800XT for my GPU. Where I'm stuck is the 7800XT. The 7800XT goes for between $500 and $550. And obviously not as good as the 4090. Should I just wait for the 5070 to release for $550 and just get that instead because it's supposedly the same performance as the 4090 just much cheaper?

If you are going to consider the 5070 in any capacity then I would wait for the independent reviews.
The suspicion with the “performs like the 4090” comes from their multi-frame gen feature and not from actual performance of the card. The tech will render one actual frame and use AI to create up to 3 other frames to increase the FPS. This has upsides and downsides that you would want to educate yourself on before just looking at the price.
Gotcha. If you don't mind, can I maybe open a dm with you so I can ask about it when it does release? I'll 100% do my own research as I watch a ton of videos of benchmarks and other stuff before I consider buying something. And I'm sure there will be a ton of talk about it in this server as well
I would just keep this post open since I am going to be watching all the same videos probably, so I won’t know any more than the next person.
