DDU & reinstall
well im stumped
Mx330 gpu + iris xe i5 1135g7 laptop
Display runs on iris xe
Idk if I can use ddu for Intel drivers
so you havent tried
oh it doesnt nvm
Ya but the app says only Intel arc
I don't wanna brick the display by uninstalling the driverđź’€
that wont happen
Ig I'll give it a try
You can try decreasing igpu clocks, or increasing voltage. This is possible even on laptops... Could be a way to extend life of a dying iGPU, I undervolt every laptop for thermals, but fully possible to do the opposite and overvolt slightly or lower speeds.
Should I use msi afterburner
That does not work with igpus, it's a bit more complicated with igpus, especially laptops... On some models it is not possible unfortunately :(
You can try with Throttlestop, look up a guide on how to undervolt 11th gen intel laptop and you will find the information you need. I can't guide you since it differs a bit from laptop to laptop.
Alternatively, you can force windows to always use your dedicated gpu. It will work fine, just lower battery life.
Idk why but the screen just doesn't look as good
When I force it to use dedicated gpu
It's not smooth
Possibly screen tearing?
Or it changes the color? Because your graphics drivers should have settings that can help with this
hmm idk
man this shi too complicated
ig imma just get used to not being able to play minecraft
Can you explain in what way you meant ”not smooth”? And I will have a much better chance at helping
The moving of the mouse feels laggy
@fluid igloo Should I uninstall my Intel drivers using ddu to force use nvidia gpu?
That's what I did initially but this shouldn't damage my laptop ryt
I think I have found out the issue
It is prolly with the new version of Intel drivers
Disabled the Intel driver
And there's this "microsoft basic display adapter" as my gpu now
My monitor is only 60hz and it's showing 64hz
This might be the issue
Now the gpu artifacting is gone
